People often complains, why do someone gotta change? In a bad way of coz. Few days back, I met a good friend, and this girl he likes, changed. “She isn’t what she used to be. Why she’s changed?” Optimistic people will just argue, saying changes are an everyday thing, that it’s necessary, or it doesn’t hurt.

Some people though, hate changes. They don’t wanna accept it, why? Because it isn’t always good. Me? I myself hate changes as well, bad ones I guess? In a relationship, I hope whatever comes, it stays. Why? To keep the relationship going. I’m not saying people can’t change, nor am I implying it’s a bad thing that people changes. It’s good when people are changing for the better. Sometimes, One will feel, it’s a thing, or a feeling, that’s holding the relationship close, holding the partners closer to one another. But when this change, there’s nothing else to hold on to. Everyday life would just be another day. What would the ending be like? It’s gonna be pretty obvious I guess.

Lemme give an example:

One happy couple just got together, they spent almost everyday together, with nothing else to worry about. One of them got a bad habit, she would appear outta nowhere to his house, with surprises. But just one fine day, this girl stops giving surprises, stops doing anything nice. Yeah, the guy assumed she changed, that the happy days are over and it’s time to move on.

This is what a change can do. Even knowing that the love was there, what else could the guy have done to make it all the same again? If quarrels is the next step of the relationship, and quarrels just keeps coming, what else is there for him to hold on to? Yes, the past.

What keeps a relationship going? Izzit really driven just by pure love, or some might say, feelings? Or izzit something else.

Living in the past, isn’t always good. But one might not even need to. We can always argue that changes are a normal thing in life, that it’s a mother nature thing.
